A Developer's Mindset, A Security Specialist's Focus.
I'm a Cyber Security professional with a strong foundation in full-stack engineering. After two years of building robust applications, I have dedicated my career to security, leveraging my developer background to protect systems from the inside out.
About Me
My journey, my philosophy, and what drives me.
Security First
My study and practice of cybersecurity have reinforced a core belief: security cannot be an afterthought. It must be a foundational part of any process, influencing everything from architecture to implementation.
The Tinkerer's Mindset
From my family's first PC to building a keylogger in C on Arch Linux, my self-taught, problem-solving drive is the foundation of my technical approach. I need to know *why* things work, not just *how*.
Deliberate Transition
My software engineering experience showed me that security is often overlooked. This inspired my dedicated transition into cybersecurity. My MSc was a strategic career pivot to specialize in protecting systems, not just building them.
Featured Projects
A selection of projects demonstrating my capabilities.
PQC on MLS Dissertation
Quantified the performance impact of Post-Quantum Cryptography on the MLS protocol, producing novel empirical data using Rust, Python, and advanced cryptographic analysis.
Digital Forensics Investigation
Acted as an expert witness in a simulated police investigation, analyzing disk images (FTK), recovering deleted data (Autopsy), and tracking a suspect's movements via GPS metadata.
Secure Network Design
Designed and built a secure, hierarchical corporate network from scratch (Cisco Packet Tracer), implementing VLANs, a Zone-Policy Firewall, and an IPSec VPN.
Incident Response
Managed response for a simulated double-extortion ransomware attack. Reconstructed the attack chain, performed root cause analysis, and developed strategic recommendations.
Customer Self-Service Portal
Designed and implemented a novel, fine-grained RBAC system from scratch. This reusable authentication module cut development time for other teams by an estimated 40%.
GreyWolf Keylogger
Developed a sophisticated keylogger in C for Linux, interfacing directly with kernel input events and exfiltrating data over TCP sockets, exploring low-level system programming.
Homelab & Self-Hosting
Deployed and manage a secure, containerized media automation stack on Arch Linux, accessible remotely via a Tailscale VPN. A practical showcase of containerization and secure networking.
Serverless AI Data Pipeline
Architected an event-driven, serverless pipeline on GCP to automate transcription and summarization of patient conversations, reducing manual effort by over 95%.
